Perception has been a technical topic for several centuries, audible perception is a significant subset and audibility, in turn, is a subset of audible perception.

Agreed. But they do if they want to make claims about what is causing the changes in perception. This is where the disagreement arises because the claims made by many audiophiles about the causes, guided by what they pick up in audiophile circles and what they would like to believe, is often incorrect. The clearest example is probably "cable sound".

Why? It was directly addressing the wonky statements you were making about the scientific process and the audiophile subjective versus objective "debate" and pointing why they were wonky. (It was also, of course, trying to prod a bit more substance into your replies.)
