You'd have to show me where Richard said wire believers are all liars. Until then, I rather doubt it.

As for purchasing preferences, there are many reasons to purchase equipment besides sound and price. However, IF you really care to find out whether two products sound different, you can 1) check out the measurements to see if the differences are above known JNDs [we take this for granted with speakers and often, with tube vs. SS amps], or 2) do a controlled blind test. If you don't want to do that, fine. No one's forcing you.

Which brings me again to the point that if you don't want to prove there are audible differences, then don't complain if someone points out you haven't done so.
