No one knows what you perceive internally, but whether you actually are detecting differences in the sound can be determined. Often this perception is distinguished from hearing to talk about this. People often perceive differences when there are none: it's not imagination, it's simply the way perception works. And that is a scientific issue.Nor do you need any particular technical knowledge to prove that there is an audible difference--only how to do a controlled DBT or SBT. You will need technical knowledge to determine what the difference is.
