1.) Indeed Tom I have been fooled by non-audio influences during evaluations - that's why I attempt to make my testing as blind as possible.There are those who care that non-audio factors may influence a conclusion, and these folks attempt to minimize these influences.
And then there are those folks who don't care if non-audio factors may influence a conclusion, as if what difference does it make, as long as they believe that a difference or an improvement is heard.
And then there are you and other who fall into neither of these "camps". You and they insist to be uneffected by such influences - fine you can insist all you want but I submit that you actually have no way to know for sure. All you'll ever have is one big unknown. I'm sure most of us who realize that such influences may effect our decisions have learned that we were wrong the hard way.
Who knows? Maybe you are as special as you claim to be? I doubt it, but hey it's your opinion, so hey, love it.
2.) So what? Again it's not like you're special - the same thing happens to all of us when we post our opinions. Big deal.
As if you need to make it clear over and over that it's only just your opinion. Geez man - anyone who would think your comments on the DACs were anything other than that in the first place is an idiot.
But then again maybe that's what was so off-putting about your original post. You talk to us like we're all a bunch of idiots.
3.)It's the same thing when I say that some day science will prove me correct. By that I mean although it's just my opinion, I believe one day science will catch up and prove my opinion correct. But even that statement is only an opinion.
The admissions of a closet-objectivist? You obviously don't get the objection - fair enough just let this dog lay.
