Re: You're fast!

Hi Kerr,

I'm 100% postive that when scientists finally discover what to measure when using the human ear/brain combo and NOT a machine as the reference standard to determine what is and isn't a realistic replication of music "sounding" live. We will at last get the recordings to sound like live music!

I'd almost be willing to bet that if there was an open-minded sound engineer here that would help me to setup the test equipment correctly, we could get a machine to determine there were no measurable differences between a live softly played guitar in a room and a recording of that guitar. Yet at the very same time NEVER would anyone listening not know the difference between the live music and the recording.

If we could indeed do that, I wonder how reliable the measurement using crowd would then believe the measurements are as opposed to the ear/brain combo for determining the differences between live and recorded music! Now that would be a test I'd love to take part in.

Keep enjoying the music -- Thetubeguy1954
