Bit depth vs.analog stuff

Sorry, I just noticed the mistake there.

If you have a dynamic range of 'x' in dB, the equivelent bit depth is x/6, roughly speaking.

Analog is nothing like "infinite" in resolution. It has noise, and noise that must grow, with every step along the way.
