Well, the human ear resolves, at best 5 microseconds, according to most people, and 2 according to a few. So, what's that in degrees?

20kHz, let's say. That's 360 degrees = 50 microseconds, right?

So one degree is 50/360 microseconds. That's about .18 microseconds.

So, even with 1 degree sensitivity, which the plot seems to show is not nearly discernable but obvious to the eye, it's at least an order of magnitude better than what the ear can do, according to the results most favoring detection by the ear.
