As I recall, Nordmark cited unjittered discrimination around 5 uSec, somewhere in the 600 hz to 800 hz regime.And, jittered capability that bottoms out at 1.5 uSec and 2Khz, extending out to 12Khz...this was with 6 uSec jitter.
It's awful easy to introduce jitter at that level from a speaker, all it requires is a cone receiving two independent frequencies, a bass one to move the source tens of mils while the hf is riding it..
I'm not so much concerned with absolute localization capability , but moreso the differential capability.
