I picked -60dB as a discussion level in that thread because it seemed like a place where there would still be plenty of music. If a system is capable of 110dB peaks, then -60dB would be at 50dB, which is not very low at all. I figured it was a high-enough level that there would be no argument about relevance.Perhaps it's all moot if properly dithered digital really exhibits zero harmonic distortion....sounds suspect, but it certainly seems theoretically correct.
