Cynical?

Geoff,

You appear sometimes to be cynical to a fault to think I (or anyone) would promote something I felt was fraudulent. What on Earth would I have to gain by such folly?

I'm not being personal when I ask, what planet are you living on? Surely you are not so naive as to think that this does not happen--that people don't promote fraudulent things.

Of course people promote fraudulent things. They do it all the time. Major corporations do it. Small-time scam-artists do it. Real estate agents do it when they conceal defects in a property. Spammers do it with their schemes for separating old ladies from their money (I get about a hundred of those per day). It's all around us. You know that, right?

What do they have to gain? Money, obviously. What else?

I'm not suggesting that we go through life being paranoid about such things; we just have to be measured and careful; when it comes to protecting yourself from, i.e., an auto mechanic who wants to charge you for unnecessary repairs, a little knowledge goes a long way.

Geoff you aren't really suggesting that people need not be vigilant are you?

Jim
