Actually...

...a correspondence with KK inspired me to order a review sample (which I have now received; thanks very much Geoff Kait!). I have not yet had the time to do a careful test; I have to admit that, having held the thing in my hand, I feel particularly foolish even doing the test, a bit like pointing a stick at that squirrel on the bird feeder, going "boom," and expecting it to fall dead. Still, I do respect those folks, so I promise to give it a serious try.

Though when and if I report that I heard nothing, the pro-chippers will merely respond that I have a poor ear, that my system is insufficiently resolving or not "tweaked" enough--not adequately "tuned,--or that I in some other way fall short on the hi-fi virility scale.
