...expressed about the GSIC short of calling the GSIC purveyors charlatans without substantiation.I do have a problem with thread hijackers that haven't enough maturity and good manners to keep the discussion on topic. I think it sad that they worship their own opinion to such an extent that they feel the need to disrupt any attempt at meaningful discussion. They should easily be able to satisfy their urge to denigrate by starting their own threads to express their displeasure if an appropriate holder doesn't already exist. You are skeptical of the GSIC and there is nothing wrong with that. Unlike many others around here, your behavior has been under control throughout the discussion. I respect that and as a result I respect your views. Steve Eddy is another that falls into this category. Steve and I have developed a friendship over the course of the GSIC debate despite our opposing views. It is possible to disagree agreeably.
My issue over GSIC detractors handling of positive and negative reviews resides in their hypocrisy. Negative reviews are handled like a verdict has been handed down with validation of their viewpoint the obvious result. Positive reviews, OTOH, are ignored or dissed. I am sure you are aware that the positive reviews outnumber the negative. This point seems to get no consideration whatsoever by the GSIC detractors. The GSIC seems to trigger inordinate emotional responses on both sides of the debate, but especially on the part of detractors IME. You'd think their mothers had just been dissed by trash talking GSIC proponents, or worse.
