I don't think the limited "science" of critics of the IC define what is "real" and what is not.

We are not contributing to a "science" of audio reproduction by critiquing explanations for why the IC works. All that the critics have said is that within their understanding of science, the explanation given by the manufacturer doesn't make sense. He is selling a product not engaged in science. If you don't believe his hype, come up with a hypothesis that were it supported would demonstrate this indeed to be hype. Certainly there is much hype in advertising including when it is a life and death matter. Absent demonstration of a testable hypothesis, I do not think anyone who hears a benefit of the IC is likely to be persuaded. Granted those who doubt may say it is a scam, but that and $3.85 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
