perhaps i should qualify myself here.i dont have a problem with made in far east products like japanese brands like sony or american co that farmed out productions in china. im saying u should not include made in china brands.
your conclusions have confirmed my suspicions. the state of 'hi end' audio have been replaced by a price = quality mentality.
im not expecting a euro sports sedan quality 4 a low price. a japanese made car will do just as well. but u aint gonna get it wif a reasonable budget in hi end audio.
btw 2 to 3.5 k us 4 a stereo is i think a very reasonable budget 4 a starter system 2 meet the criteria u set. after all, if im just getting something cheap n can generate sound, a cheap boom box will do.
