the most recently recorded Stereo performance of anything on Redbook CD I find very, very hard to enjoy especially when the sound of massed strings gives me a splitting headache!Mono and even Stereo LPs, or SACDs with lesser sound quality the sound is simply lacking thus it is an error of omission and can still be enjoyed. However with CD there is terrible sound that is not there in the original recording or in real life, thus it is an error of destructive addition. This is my only problem with Redbook CD, physical pain!
Just my 2 cents,
Teresa
