So it stands to reason then that distortion that is correlated to the signal could then be picked out of uncorrelated random noise. If this is the case then noise floor would have to be below -120db, from JJs numbers above, in order to see what harmonics are exposed above this level as these harmonics could in theory be audible and they could be audible even if the noise floor is much higher but you never know if they are there or not as you won't see them: however, you might hear them!!
