Wouldn't the ambient noise level of a recording or a live musical event be relevant in determining at what threshold a sound is audible? I've given you the absolute limit of audibile under any circumstances and the ambient nose limit of a real environment under its most optimal conditions. My mistake if I misunderstood you question.
