...and guilty as charged, Phil :)I did "it", deliberately, with your two line quote more for Eddyfication(?) purposes... as mentioned, "it" or paraphrasing someone else's quotes is a loss cause because it comes down to what "I think/penned that he last said"
. Our innocent pokes serve as simple examples
- "the" errant /tangential paraphrase
- of "pushing one's buttons" or responding to deragatory BS
- of "drawing out a thread"
- of "nothing new to say"
...and as an example of general tone of most double blind A/B testing threads (justifiable in your last reply and in many of Jon's to Steve) tend take for the same reasons...nuff said and on my account "please do not give up your apron" :)A/B Testing
My one thought on A/B testing is that for small differences the ear tends to "blend" two similar sounds that are time-multiplexed. The shorter the interval between switching the more profound the effect and the more one feels compelled to switch. Something like walking 1/2 way to the wall on successive tries. Jitter related issues need about a minimum 5 second sample to appreciate and a two minute song will give you about 24 samples...just shy of a statistically significant sample size. Time to cue up "interconnect number two" and hit repeat the cut and leave the switchbox alone.cheers,
