Phil, let's stay on topic here. Exactly what does the post in question add to the discussion of cables? It's a blantant dismissal of any cable effect and it isn't in the spirit of the Cable Asylum. I would have done the same thing that Ted did which is to close the post.

Cables was set up to be a sanctuary for those that do believe that cables make a difference. At times, we allowed it to drift and we've had our share of problems with folks that, IMO, don't believe cables make a difference and simply want to stir the pot. So we've had to crack down. Those that want to discuss cables from a perspective that they do make a difference agree with that decision. Others don't. If you see that as a double standard, so be it.

It strikes me that you want to continually dredge up the past. Ted is not Jon's henchman. He volunteered to help moderate Cables and he makes his own decisions. We've attempted to deal with your perception of Jon's abuse of authority by putting Ted in the position of being the sole moderator when those discussions involve Jon. Let's leave the past in the past. If you see a post that you see as an abuse, use the Comment link.

BTW: To my knowledge, Jon hasn't posted at AR in nearly a year. Again, let's talk about now.
