Not at all. And I violate my own principles frequently. But if I let my own human imperfections keep me from saying what I think is right, then I would allow those imperfections to dominate my entire life.I know I frequently sound like I'm preaching. All I can say is that most of the time I'm probably the person that most needs to heed the advice I'm so freely giving.
I don't believe I'm any better than anyone else. But since I can't really contribute anything worthwhile from a technical standpoint, I try to offer advice that I think might promote better technical discussions among the people like you who have such an incredible store of knowledge to share. Unfortunately, once I offer such advice I'm then under a lot of pressure to follow it myself. Which, as I said isn't easy.
