That's the problem Soundmind. You want to focus on the wooden knobs and I'm trying to focus on "these sounds" Dieter refers to as something that should be investigated throughly by scientists and/or audio designers.

It's POSSIBLE that in researching "these sounds" and trying to develop a way to measure them, that we MIGHT for the first time actually have a test that correlates what's been heard, with what's been measured. Of course it's POSSIBLE that it won't pan out either, but until it's throughly investigated we'll never know.

For the record if you had been reading my posts you would have known this was the direction and purpose of my posts. It was you who wanted to focus on the supposes stupidity of wooden knobs, not me.
