Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

That's what you still don't seem to understand.

Hi.

A varnish applied to a sound box like a violin & the like should affect its way of vibration to certain extent, provided such effect is really perceivable. To a violin maker may, but to a layman like you or me may not.

But to apply the same varnish like C37 or whatever similar stuff to an equipment housing which is NOT a sound box like a violin & to claim it can improve the sound applying the same idea on a violin is far from being convincing. I can't explain to myself such claim of his on any technological grounds.

It is either genuinely derived from his own imagination, or simply a commercial beloney unless he could come up with his technical substantiation.

Open-mindedness got to be supported by logical reasoning, plus technical grounds let alone meaurements which I would not insist in view of the abstractness of this sonic issue.

Now you got my point?
