Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

No problem

Actually, both sides are guilty of that kind of behaviour, it changes from month to month.

tubeguy: ""
In all honesty fermi velocity & near superconducting is probably above my technical proficiency to understand. Perhaps I'll start at skin effect as I have a basic understanding of it.""

Skin effect is quite interesting, but not very obvious. What we were taught about it is generally just approximation equations, and most engineers in the world are guilty of using those approximations outside their domain of accuracy. The archives can be a pita to review for a specific topic. Ask for details on skinning if you are curious.

Supers are veerry easy for me, I use them. But knowledge of them and how they work is of limited real world value, useful to only a few groups of people on the planet..

Fermi discussion and quantum physics is more difficult, and many inaccurate understandings abound.

I can't give you many hints about forum decorum that would alleviate your current situation, but you are not the first nor the last to be frustrated by perceptions and responses here.

Cheers, John
