"Cheevers answers this with a blanket statement about the distribution of harmonics in harmonic distortion"THat is not what he argues. He argues he has found a better correlation not a perfect correlation (ie. not an R^2 = 1). If the correlation is not perfect then this leaves the door open to other variables that are not addressed by his TAD. Such variables could be FR, noise, speaker load, amplifier stability etc. etc. It would have been nice for him to provide us with a correlation coefficient so we can see how much better the correlation between blind listening tests and his TAD were. It would give some idea how much of the sound of an amp has to do with harmonic distortion and how much is other "factors".
