Hey Dan Banquer Ask John Curl Why He Liked Mr Cheevers Thesis!

Has anyone here wondered like I have why Dan Banquer specifically but also Pat D & Soundmind doesn't ask John Curl, a very respected audio designer, to defend why he believes "Cheever's thesis is pretty good. It should be standard reading for audio designers..." ?

"IF" this group really wanted to know how anyone could agree with another crackpot theory, that's outdated & inaccurate as they claim Mr Cheever's thesis is, they'd ask the one most qualified to answer that question, wouldn't they?

So I ask why does this group leave John's comments completely unchallenged, yet at the same time, demand I, BJH or others who are a lot less technically proficient than Mr Curl, defend our acceptance of Mr Cheever's thesis?

The answer is obvious to me... they DON'T really want to know the truth! They'd rather appear to be correct. Now in order to do that they MUST ask their questions of those who are less able to answer their questions in a technically, proficient, intelligent manner.

Consider this: as a group they refered to Mr Cheever's thesis and those who agrred with it as:

1)Another crackpot theory to bash negative feedback and solid state amplifiers by SET fans (Soundmind)
2)Take your head out of the sand and realize it's 2006 and not 1985 it's O.K. (Dan Banquer)
3) You don't know a hoax when you see one, and if it isn't a hoax then it should be. (Dan Banquer)
4) Outdated and Inaccurate (Dan Banquer)
5) What difference does it make if it's right or wrong, the guy bullshitted his way to a masters degree (Soundmind)
6) OK, so distortion measurements require some weighting to better correlate with what can be heard. So what's new? (Pat D)

If Dan Banquer really believed what he said, he'd ask John Curl how he could believe "Cheever's thesis is pretty good. It should be standard reading for audio designers..." When Dan believes it's outdated, inaccurate and if not a hoax, it should be!

But instead of asking John Curl who could certainly respond to any question Dan posed, Dan asks BJH, me and others to defend Mr Cheever's thesis or at least our agreement with it!

Dan appears to be afraid to challenge anyone, like John Curl who could in a technically, proficient, intelligent manner actually answer any question he asked of him. Perhaps "IF" Dan develops the guts to ask somone who can actually answer all his questions, he'll ask John Curl.

I don't expect that to happen though. Most likely Dan, Pat and the group will attack this post and leave John Curl alone. But I understand, I wouldn't want to have my beliefs shattered publically in a forum either.

So get with it guys, ask John Curl to defend his beliefs about Mr Cheever's thesis, "IF" YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH & HAVE THE GUTS that is....
