You are respectfully incorrect. I worked for a manufacturer for some time and we would frequently replace speakers (sell off the training demos before they got too old). In the same room, 2 pairs of the same speakers, one brand new, one a year or so old, sounded totally different, and over a reasonable amount of time, usually about two weeks, the difference would fade. Brain conditioning exists but doesn't account for that. I am shocked that this debate has gone this far without some simple scientific experiment being done to discover this. It's simple. Take a pair of speakers you are used to in a room you are used to and take a brand new pair of the same thing and put them in the same position and see if they sound the same or different. This isn't rocket science.Allan
