Watt/Puppy break-in

As a happy past owner of the Watt/Puppy 3 (well, not so happy; the 3 needed work) and the 5.1, 6, and 7, before the 8, I am obviously familiar with the Wilson sound. Be warned; the 8 requires a LOT of break-in, as did the 5.1 and 6. Curiously, the 7 was singing sweetly in about a week. But if you play the 8 for only three or four hours a day, expect at least two months before that new tweeter from the Maxx 2 settles down and the mids smooth out. I am into my seventh week, and only in the last few evenings has the 8 begun to equal the 7 of happy memory. Been too lazy to treat them as I did the 6-- pink noise on repeat all day while I was at work. So far they prefer the CJ Premier 350, solid state, over my VAC Signature Renaissance 70, but when the midrange settles down completely I look forward to tube sound.
