Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

When is over breaking-in?

At what point do they get past "ripe"?

Or do the designers have speakers, components and cables designed where they stop "stretching" or "settling in" at perfection?

Like a fine wine, is there a "window of opportunity" where you should drink it for the greatest pleasure, and if you miss it, pour it down the drain?

If something electrical is evolving in it's first 100-400 hours of use does it stop evolving at that point? If not, when should it be disposed of because it is passed it's prime?
