Risetime limiting is not TIM or SID. Tubes sometimes suffer from risetime limiting, but it rolls off harmonics, rather than adds them.
The most important reason that audio tube electronics did not use too much negative feedback decades ago, was because the coupling caps and transformers within the feedback loop went unstable and caused 'motorboating' when too much feedback was applied. Therefore it was difficult, if not impossible, to use much more than 20dB of negative feedback in a tube design. This 'saved' tubes in the long run, but they didn't know it then.
