There's one post I wish I had time to search for. It was from Soundmind, certainly one of it not THE biggest objectivist this forum has ever witnessed. He posted that even he knows different solid state amps can sound different. He knows this because each time he has to change amps, he has to spend some inordinate amount of time resetting his equalizer's levels to get the sound right. If all amps sounded alike, one should blend seamlessly into a new system the same as the old one, no?But I have no argument when someone says all amps sound alike because, to that person, they all do.
