Suggests Transistor rolling...

I asked that question a while ago and got no substantive responses. The idea is that the sample-to-sample characteristics of BJTs vary way more than the characteristics of tubes, there's volumes in these pages on the sound of one tube vs. another, but no one addresses transistor rolling. Why? One would presume that there would be a larger sample-to-sample difference in the sound of transistors than in the sound of tubes given the almost uncontrolled variance in transistor characteristics.

You asked a great question. I hope it gets addressed with substance this time around.
