54, this is pretty elementary. There is no perfect amp, nor is there a perfect cap. Every amp has its own sound signature, because of the components and the design tradeoffs.
It is important that you linked that article on caps. We have used that evidence for the last 33 years to make better amps and preamps. It was first demonstrated to me at Tektronix, back in 1974 that ceramic caps were awful! Yet, many audio manufacturers, especially midfi, use ceramic caps with impunity. No wonder there is a difference between amps.
As far as semiconductors are concerned, there is no obvious winner.
