Boosting signals is of no consequence. The number of errors that are transmitted into a DAC other than jitter are insignificant. Jitter was a problem with prior technologies that relied on incoming signals to develop the DAC's clock, I'm oversimplifying a little but the bottom line is that is an obsolete principle nowadays. The Benchmark uses some type of buffer to eliminate incoming jitter, so any jitter treatment is superflous and money best spent elsewhere. Even expensive transports are superfluous. The Benchmark I believe has its own very good clock. so there is a modified PLL in there that for all intents and purposes reduces jitter as well as a $20,000 DAC/Transport! Regards.
