Re: And you ignore the point! Buridan's Donkey

Pat,

I'll read that when you actually answer my question. You state "It's not just that you are likely to be biased by size, color, reputation, or attitudes, beliefs and expectations, it that we are built to perceive differences, and hence, will overdetect differences."

To which I again ask HOW can that be, when my precieved beliefs were CABLES DON"T SOUND DIFFERENT! I believed that no matter what the size, shape, color, type of metal, type of dielectric etc. the cables would all sound the same. How then could ANY of these things affect what I heard, when I believed they wouldn't?

If my preconceived notions were cables sound the same how did that influence me to then hear differences? Answer those specific questions instead of refering my to reading someone other that your writing. Or can't you actually back up your beliefs? Do you need to have others speak for you? If so than these aren't your personal beliefs, but rather you've read an article, liked what it had to say and adopted those beliefs as yours. When in reality they're someone elses beliefs.

I'm writing about things I personally believe, because I've personally proved to myself that cables make audible differences.
