Then what is the frequency response of wire?

Hmm…I thought reactive (RLC) load is resonant. The frequency response is going to have drop off points somewhere in the spectrum. Where are those points in audio cables?

I just took a 1 ft of 22g copper hookup wire and swept a sine and couldn’t measure any drop until close to 1MHz! So isn’t the effect of wire frequency attenuation negligible in audio systems (unless they are extremely long lengths)?
