Your message suggests that all knowledge can be reduced to "data,", which obviously it can't. (I'm speaking as a scientist here). It's possible to know things without having "data" to support your point of view.
But the key point about subjectivist audiophiles is that most of them just aren't that interested in convincing you, so why should they take the trouble to provide data to back up their assertions? They may be right or they may be wrong, but they don't feel much inclination to try to convince you of anything. Not convinced? Fine.
