Christine, you often post statements like this that completely destroy your credibility. That is simply not how a digital player works, CD or DVD.

Any interruption in the audio data would be output as a disruptive "click" or "pop" through the speakers. There is absolutely no way that the disc can be rotated at precisely the correct speed so as to feed the data words at exactly 44.1 kHz with no interruption or variation. So there *has* to be a buffer in the system.

When the buffer starts to get low then a servo control speeds up the disc rotation and refills the buffer. When the buffer starts to get too full then the servo slows down the disc.

There is no PLL to control the speed of the disc.

So when you go on to base your fantastical theory of jitter on a completely incorrect assumption, it is no wonder that you reach untenable conclusions. It is these glaring errors in even a basic understanding of things that makes us question your credibility.
