>>Help me out here. How do you think the "recent analysis" determined that 20 pS was a threshold of audibility? Do you think they just guessed at the jitter levels? Or do you think they somehow measured them?<<I don't know, and I don't care. What I do know is that you are making ASSumptions :-) Perhaps instead of making assumptions and ending up with the inevitable result, if you want to have a nice argument with Christine, you might ask her what this study was, and then debate the merits of the facts instead of your assumptions. Just a suggestion :-) OTOH, perhaps you prefer bypassing that and going straight to making an ass of yourself. If so, don't let me stand in your way, especially since I really don't care.
>>I'm pretty sure they measured them. And I'm pretty sure that they didn't use the Miller test suite.<<Two more ASSumptions. And I still don't care. :-)
>>So, like I said, Christine was comparing apples to oranges when she said that "When you consider that recent analysis suggests that jitter needs to be below 20ps [AS MEASURED WITH ANOTHER TEST SYSTEM] to be truly inaudible, the above figures [ALL MEASURED USING THE MILLER TEST SUITE] suggest that ALL curent hi-rez players are at least an order of magnitude above ideal."<<More ASSumptions. You may be right in your assumptions, but what if you're not? Note, however, that I STILL don't care.
>>My reading comprehension is just fine, thank you.<<
Apparently not :-) I'm just glad your design skills are better than your Internet forum skills!
