Big names such as Belden, Carrol, and others can develop and/or manufacture any kind of cable that exists. But their ad hype to exploit this infinitesmal niche market by selling it under their own brand names would get them laughed out of the real market, the industrial market which is their meat and potatoes. However, I'm sure many of the so called audiophile cables are supplied OEM by them...at an infinitesmal fraction of the price they retail for. It's basically a sleazy suckers market. That's why the major manufacturers don't want their names associated with it.
