I'll hazard a guess that if a transistor survives the first 100 hours it's probably going to go quite awhile after that, and if it fails after that then the cause is most likely something going on "around" the transistor that is causing the transistor to fail. Things like excessive heat, excessive voltage or current etc etc.
In any case I hope to to be around to post that after thirty years I am re-capping these amps so they will go t o 45 years.
