Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

I think both are important

In any research effort, both adequate collection of data and application of logical reason to draw conclusions is vital. And in this paper I have said IMO both are flawed. The data was inadequate, and the method and logic did not support the conclusion. To see what is proported to be a scholarly presentation start with an opinion of a reviewer in a consumer magazine supported in part by advertising of the products it reviews, include resale value of various equipment on e-bay, include the opinions of an informal gathering of a handful of friends and acquaintenance, and to cite ancient papers drawing conclusions from entirely different technologies without explaining why after 70 years it is still relevant is IMO an embarassment. It is hard for me to even read this paper without wondering why it was written in this manner. The premise is unsuported by the arguement and its relevance is not at all demonstrated. Were I on the faculty, he'd not have gotten a master's degree based on this work and were I a manufacturer, I would not commit funds to develop technology based on its conclusions unless and until far more convincing arguements were presented.
