Yes.

You know, it was funny, there was exactly ONE solid state amplifier at the VTV show in Piscataway last month and I recognized it by sound alone. It was at the "North Creek" room driving a pair of hybrid ribbons. It was by far the best sounding amplifier at the show. In My Opinion of course. (this is of course a rediculous statement because the only way to know would be to A/B test it against every other amplifier there on every speaker in the world but it's the kind of blanket statement crap you hear from people who call me an "objectivit" and themselves "subjectivitst." I do have ears you know and I think I am at least as critical a listener as most other people. My hearing also checked out quite well in a test about a year ago so I can still hear well. I always protected my hearing from loud sounds and NEVER went to discos or live rock concerts.) Clearer, more accurate, better treble, better bass. And a lot cheaper, cooler, and more reliable than most tube amplifiers too.
