The regimen towards both the Masters and PhD is not about right or wrong...It is a process. One of learning. Period. Of paradigms, of learning how to test bounds, and how to proceed beyond those bounds. He went through that process and completed that process.
It is not up to his advisors to judge the merit of his thesis or thesis topic, to censure all they do not like. They determine if he followed the rules, did what was expected of him.
One of those rules, is the establishment of falsifiable hypothesis. In that, he did.
The merit of the topic and it's conclusions?? Time will tell, via the use or lack thereof, of it's premises and conclusions.
But it is not possible to assume that all thesis' are accurate, or that they will re-define what we know. It is a test of a method, no more, no less.
Cheers, John
