Objective audiophiles have supported "Just listen to the sound and let your ears be the judge" for decades

No measurements (except SPL measurements to match SPL's if two amps are being compared).

Hide the brand names.

Then just listen!

To prevent potential errors, it would be best to start with an experiment to be confident one can really hear differences with the brand names hidden (our imaginations can play tricks).

No measurements will reveal which amp you prefer because so many amps have a relatively flat frequency responses (except perhaps some amps with high output impedances used with some speakers) and the harmonic distortion levels are likely to be so low they won't be audible while listening to music.

So what could you possibly measure (other than clipping) that would determine which "voltage multiplier" was best ... other than the smile on the listener's face who hears what he likes ... without the potential for bias from knowing the brand names?
