I said, a few articles removed from this: I have said specifically that I do not audition equipment for purchase blind. Hello? Hey, you can have the best sounding amplifier in the world, but if it's 1000x your budget, and has flashing purple and green searchlights built into it, you ain't gonnna buy it, are you? (The examples are extreme, but the point isn't. Things like the maker's name, knowlege of reliability, appearance, DO matter, don't they, now?)
