Welcome back Phil Tower -- is business slow today?You are free to spend or waste your money on anything audio.
It's only when your advice influences others that we start debates on where the money should be spent to improve sound quality -- that's all the arguments are about.
Many audiophiles spend a lot of money and upgrade frequently, but still are never satisfied. The likely reason is that many upgrades had no audible differences other than small SPL differences. According to golden ears this can not happen -- it was just the wrong "upgrade" ... and nirvana is just a few thousand dollars around the corner.I've witnessed audiophiles who spend tens of thousands of dollars on their equipment ... while their car needs repairs ... and their wives have not purchased new shoes in almost a month!
That's very sad.
