Sounds like a good setup, Robert. However, you'll still be missing bass info in some cases because if the disc has ALREADY had BM applied in the studio, then some bass info will only be going in the LFE channel. Moreover, you would need a dedicated sub on your .1 channel to hear it. An example is Steely Dan, "Everything Must Go" in 5.1 which has hardly any low bass going into the main channels, because it's already been pre-filtered into the sub channel!But at least it's not "doubled-up" bass -- which would be the worst scenario IMHO, on a full 5.1 system.
