Good to hear I'm not alone. I've heard the Maggies are a very difficult load as well. My Classe is up for sale as I am enjoying music much more with the underpowered amp. Almost everything sounds better and much more real. (Violins and vocals are much more real)With the SS amp I found myself swapping through many albums looking for the right album to listen to. With the tube amp albums play from start to finish.
I don't care what anyone says ! I'm using only 55 watts to power a pair of BIG POWER HUNGRY THIEL CS6's ! ( Almost all insist 200 watts is the minimum for these speakers) All I have to say to them is Pbttttttttttttt.
