Hi ,
I have replaced the op-amps with SMD rail to rail types in my SACD player , no problems . BSP 135 depletion mosfets solder very nicely to veroboard , I've had cascoded CCS with these in running for over two years now , none have been killed by soldering onto stripboard . I've also soldered SMD resistors directly into the wafers of switches for attenuators and not had any problems . It's a case of having a decent soldering iron (I use a Weller) with a clean tip and good quality solder .cheers
