Agreed 100%. You certainly don't need a $1000 NASA level workstation, but a decent investment now on a solid professional level tool such as this will:1/ last you for years and years and be good enough for all work you are every likely to want to do
2/ allow you to reach professional soldering quality after some practice.
Also, make sure you get good solder - something with a real brand name - in the USA "Kestor" is well known and professional, in the (past) English colonies try for the "Ersin Multicore" brand.
Even a master can't work well with cheapo tools and poor materials, and a beginner will have no success at all, and not be experienced enough to know it's not all his fault!
